Meghan’s on-screen husband, Patrick J. Adams also left “Suits,” leaving the rest of the cast to deal with the departure of their two castmates. Rick noted that as much as it was hard watching two of their long-term colleagues depart, the remaining and incoming cast members had renewed energy to complete seasons seven and eight of the series.

“Losing Meghan and Patrick is like losing part of our heart muscle and now we’re going to bypass it with some really, really great actors. Everybody’s so excited to be a part of this, that energy I feel is contagious,” noted Rick.

Rick explained that at the time, he was in a relationship that didn’t work out, and he had to attend a wedding in Paris. The actor had no date for the wedding, so Meghan Markle asked him if he would like her to accompany him, and he wholeheartedly agreed. Rick revealed they took schedules off and had a great time in Paris.

After Rick and his “Suits” co-stars attended the royal wedding, they revealed how wonderful it was. Gabriel Macht, who played Harvey Specter on “Suits” was delighted when he was approached at the royal wedding by someone who admitted he adored his character and loved the show. “It was a lovely day,” acknowledged Gabriel. He added that it was an amazing gathering as the “Suits” family stayed there for three days.

Rick Hoffman also spoke about his experience, saying, “I don’t think I could have had a better weekend. We had the most fun weekend.” He added that the royal wedding was out of this world as he felt he was in another time. “It was gorgeous from beginning to end,” said Rick.

The 53-year-old described encountering “something really terrible and foul.” This odor during the event, significantly impacted his enjoyment of the occasion. He humorously noted that if one were to search his name on Google, they would likely come across images of him making the infamous face due to the smell.

Rick narrated that as the wedding ceremony progressed, he began to detect the unpleasant scent more intensely, despite his efforts to maintain composure in the presence of numerous cameras. He explained that the smell was like “somebody had terrible breath but it was more than one person.”

In an attempt to alleviate the discomfort caused by the odor, Rick resorted to using the vanilla and coconut-scented moisturizer earlier applied on his hand to mask the smell. However, his efforts proved futile as the offensive odor persisted and even seemed to worsen over time.

Feeling increasingly isolated in his olfactory discomfort, Rick worried that other guests might attribute the smell to him. However, when he asked them, to his relief, they said they hadn’t perceived the odor, leaving him feeling isolated and frustrated.

Reflecting on the experience, Rick humorously recounted his ordeal of being the only one affected by the mysterious scent. He also explained that he has a heightened sensitivity to odors, making the situation particularly challenging for him.

The actor, who has a good relationship with Meghan, disclosed that she was the one person in the “Suits” crew who knew he had a problem with other people’s hygiene. Meghan would tease him and laugh about how he was always so sensitive to bad hygiene, including his reactions to them.

As much as the odor issue affected Rick during the royal wedding, he said experiencing the ceremony of Meghan and Prince Harry was something he would take with him to his dying day as it was incredibly special.
