Sarah Ferguson has issued an emotional statement as she said her “heart is so devastated” by the wildfires in Los Angeles, which have seen thousands of people evacuated.
Sarah Ferguson has opened up in a recent heartfelt message, sharing her deep concern for those touched by the Los Angeles wildfires. Broadcasting her sentiments straight to her followers in an Instagram video, Sarah declared: “I was thinking about whether my words were going to sound very, very trite if I say anything, but I just have got to say something.”
She revealed her inner turmoil as she said: “My heart is so devastated by the fires in Southern California and Los Angeles. All the people who have been evacuated from their homes, they’ve lost their homes. The animals, the humane society, I am just so devastated. I just had to say something.”
The Duchess didn’t stop there: “You know that I am 100 per cent there. I really want to know how we can help. All over the world is just so affected by this extraordinary devastation. My heart goes out to the emergency services, to all the people who are tirelessly working and have been working for all these days to try and contain the fire.”
She continued: “To the first responders and the extraordinary people who are out there fighting, to anyone out there – we’re here, we’re going to keep fighting, we’re going to help you rebuild. ” Alongside the poignant video, Sarah penned a moving caption: “My heart breaks as I watch the devastating wildfires that Los Angeles is currently facing. My thoughts are with all those affected, and my support goes out to everybody in the emergency services who are working tirelessly to help.”, reports the Mirror.
Following their poignant visit to support the victims of the catastrophic wildfires, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were captured in heartfelt moments as they comforted those affected by the inferno that claimed numerous homes, including those of famous figures like Paris Hilton and Anthony Hopkins. Not only did they provide a helping hand, but the compassionate couple is also reported to have made generous donations of clothing, essentials for children, and other vital items.
Last Friday at the Pasadena Convention Centre, which is currently an evacuation hub, Harry and Meghan were spotted distributing food parcels. Emotions ran high as they embraced Jose Andres, the heart behind World Central Kitchen, actively providing meals to those hit by tragedy.
They also comforted Pasadena’s Mayor Victor Gordo, who was full of praise for their efforts and genuine personalities. He lauded the former royals as “great people” with “great personalities,” noting how their presence lifted the spirits of everyone, especially the first responders, during their visit to the command post at the Rose Bowl.
