Royal fans issue same complaint as Meghan Markle flaunts new outfit in New York

Meghan Markle made a new appearance on Wednesday, but some royal fans were left disappointed with one of her sartorial choices. The Duchess of Sussex headed to New York City to attend a TIME100 Summit and promote her latest business ventures.

She was dressed from head to toe in Ralph Lauren, sporting the designer’s Russell silk-linen blazer in lux-tan (£2,045) and its colour matching Greer silk-linen pleated trousers (£1,785). The duchess completed the look with the brand’s Karen silk Georgette blouse in Ecru (£1,210) and its calfskin buckle belt in RL Gold (£240). She also sported Manolo Blahnik’s BB 105 heels in tan (£650).

To accessorise, Meghan opted for Tabayer’s Oera large 18k yellow gold earrings, her beloved Tank Française watch by Cartier (£21,400), her tennis bracelet and Cartier’s Love bangle and another beaded bangle.

She also wore her engagement and wedding rings as well as her beloved diamond pinky ring.

But royal fans were not impressed with Meghan’s latest oversized suit, particularly the trousers, and took to social media to express their views.

One user wrote on Instagram: “Not a fan of this wide leg look.”

Another one said: “I’m sorry but she needs a really good tailor…how does she even manage to walk?”

A third user added: “Those pants absolutely swamp her. They just look sloppy. She needs to be about a foot taller to pull those off and make them look like they should.”
