Prince William allegedly gave Prince Harry a four-word response after he found out Meghan Markle was pregnant with Prince Archie.

The Duke of Sussex wrote about the incident in 2018 in his memoir  Spare.

In October of that year, just months after their lavish wedding back in May, the couple decided to announce the happy news to the family at Princess Eugenie’s wedding with Jack Brooksbank.

Harry claimed that they were are at the reception in St George’s Hall in Windsor when he made the announcement to his older brother.

He wrote: “We were in a big room, suits of armour on the walls. Strange room, strange moment.”

According to the prince, as soon as he told William, the heir to the throne smiled and said “we must tell Kate”.

The duke wrote about the Princess of Wales’s reaction: “She also gave a big smile and hearty congratulations. They both reacted exactly as I hoped – as I’d wished.”

Harry also revealed that King Charles was “delighted” when he and Meghan told him the joyous news.

He wrote: “Just before a drink reception for the bride and groom, we cornered Pa in his study.

“He was delighted to learn that he was going to be a grandfather for a fourth time; his wide smile warmed me.”

Prince Archie was born on May 6, 2019 at the Portland Hospital in London.

Since then, Harry and Meghan have welcomed a second child, Princess Lilibet, who was born at Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital in Santa Barbara, California, on June 4, 2021.
