Meghan Markle is reportedly sending a peculiar item to Kate Middleton and Victoria Beckham to get them back on side.
The Duchess of Sussex is resorting to sending her royal and celebrity acquaintances luxury gifts to “remind them of her softer side” after a bout of “loneliness” following her and Prince Harry’s estrangement from the royal family.
The mother-of-two soft launched her lifestyle brand in March which saw her mail 50 jars of strawberry jam to a fair few A-listers. Only a handful of close friends promoted the brand in return, though, according to the US Sun.
A source told Closer: “Meghan has been meticulously curating gift packages filled with all her favorite things.

“This includes plenty of her jam to send to the who’s who of Hollywood.
“While there’s no doubt it’s about promoting her American Riviera Orchard brand, it’s also about spreading goodwill and trying to remind people of her softer side. With Christmas just around the corner, Meghan sees it as the perfect time to try to rebuild connections and is determined not to start 2025 surrounded by negativity.
“She’s been feeling increasingly lonely recently and wants to concentrate on strengthening friendships.”
The source claimed Meghan is sending the sweet berry spread to those who “aren’t necessarily so fond of her” like Kate Middleton, Queen Camilla, the Clooneys, and the Beckhams as a way to “invest in the relationships”.
The source added: “She’s sending them out to all her friends and acquaintances and is willing to spend a fortune and a whole lot of time… Svery eager to set the tone for next year as one of peace and forgiveness.
“She realizes that she and Harry can’t go on with this cold war and needs to swallow her pride.”

Meghan’s charm offensive comes amid reports that Victoria Beckham once presented her with a gift of clothing from her brand worth £6,000. However, the gesture didn’t seem to boost the fashion designer’s brand.
The ex-Spice Girl provided the Duchess of Sussex with outfits for her Christmas Day appearance with the Royal Family. She also gifted Meghan a bespoke outfit during her pregnancy. According to Royal author Tom Bower, these gifts didn’t generate much publicity for Victoria’s fashion label. In his book, House of Beckham, Bower noted: “The financial benefit was nil. The only success in 2019 was a £1,400 handbag that had been displayed by Meghan.”
The relationship between the two high-profile families reportedly began to fray in 2018. According to Bower, although David and Victoria Beckham received an invitation to Meghan and Harry’s wedding that year, they were noticeably absent from the wedding dinner guest list.
The tension escalated when Meghan and Harry were not invited to Brooklyn Beckham and Nicola Peltz’s wedding, whereas Prince William and Princess Kate were. Bower claims in his book that Meghan perceived herself as superior to the Beckhams in the social hierarchy: “In Meghan’s celebrity world, ranking depended on wealth and fame.. Meghan deluded herself that her status in the Royal Family placed her above Victoria in the social pecking order.”
