Meghan Markle accused of ‘running out of people to throw under the bus’ amid podcast delay

Meghan Markle is “running out of people to throw under the bus,” a TV commentator has claimed following a reported delay on a podcast project.

The Duchess of Sussex, 43, has already delayed the release of her new Netflix series With Love, Meghan.

Now, Meghan has been forced to postpone the launch of yet another project apparently.

Meghan Markle podcast ‘delayed’

Earlier this month, the Duchess of Sussex announced that she was delaying the launch of her new Netflix series.

With Love, Meghan was meant to drop on the streaming service on January 15. However, following the devastating LA wildfires, the 43-year-old opted to push back the launch of the show until March 4.

“I’m thankful to my partners at Netflix for supporting me in delaying the launch, as we focus on the needs of those impacted by the wildfires in my home state of California,” she said in a statement.

The wildfires have seemingly affected the launch of her podcast series, Archetypes, too.

Meghan’s podcast, Archetypes, ran for 12 episodes back in 2022 on Spotify. In 2023, it was announced that the Sussexes’ Spotify deal had been mutually ended.

Last year, it was announced that Lemonada Media would be distributing the first series on its platform. Fresh episodes have been teased – however, fans are going to have to wait as they have now reportedly been postponed.

According to HELLO!, the wildfires could be the reason behind the delay.

However, GB News host Darren Grimes believes that Meghan’s podcast has been delayed because it’s so “painfully boring”.

Speaking on Sky News Australia today (Wednesday, January 29), he said: “It’s probably because she’s running out of people to throw under the bus that this podcast has been delayed because it’s so painfully boring that they don’t know what to put in it.”

“It’s a limited series where your entire personality is based around victimhood and victim narratives,” he added.

It’s probably because she’s running out of people to throw under the bus.

Archetypes saw Meghan interview a variety of high-profile guests, including Mariah Carey, Serena Williams, and Paris Hilton.

It won two awards as well. It was awarded the Pop Podcast of 2022 award at the People’s Choice Awards, and Meghan won the Entertainment Podcast Host award at the Gracie Awards in 2023.

Meghan and Harry ‘upset and bruised’ over Vanity Fair claims

Meanwhile, recent reports claimed that Meghan and Harry feel “upset” over a damning article in Vanity Fair.

The piece alleged that staff had struggled working with Meghan, with sources claiming they feared being “thrown to the wolves at any given moment”.

Who is Meghan Markle, Duchess of Sussex?

Meghan Markle, Duchess of Sussex, is the wife of King Charles III’s youngest son Prince Harry.

Meghan Markle was born on August 4, 1981, in California, United States. She is currently 43 years old. She had a career in acting before marrying into the royal family in 2018.

What did Meghan Markle, Duchess of Sussex do before joining the monarchy?

Former actress Meghan had a string of acting roles before she met Prince Harry, most famously playing the role of Rachel Zane in legal drama Suits.

Her acting career began at Northwestern University.

The duchess also wrote a lifestyle blog named The Tig and became heavily involved in charity work – which has continued since she met Harry.

Marrying Prince Harry

Meghan married into the royal family on May 19, 2018, when she and Prince Harry tied the knot at St George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle.

Just a few months after their wedding, Meghan and Harry announced they were expecting their first child. They welcomed Prince Archie on May 6, 2019.

Two years later on June 4, 2021, the couple welcomed a daughter named Princess Lilibet. She was named after the late Queen Elizabeth II – whose nickname was Lilibet.

Months after welcoming son Archie, Prince Harry and Meghan announced they were stepping down from their senior royal roles within the royal family. They then moved to the United States and have lived there since.

Meghan has made a return to the entertainment world, launching projects with Netflix alongside Harry. In January 2025, she announced a lifestyle show named With Love, Meghan, which will see her giving cooking and gardening tips to viewers alongside a host of celebrity guests. It will premiere on March 4, 2025.

It also alleged that Harry had few friends in Montecito and that Meghan’s team had quietly held talks with a publishing house to “gauge interest” in the idea of a post-divorce book, if that were to happen.

However, a source for Meghan and Harry claimed they’re “distressed” over the claims in the article.

Royal commentator Kinsey Schofield told Sky News Australia: “It is my understanding that they are upset over it [and] I’m being told that things aren’t good for them right now.”
