Kate’s Trooping the Colour outfit sparks confusion as divide emerges over whether it is blue or green

Princess Kate’s Trooping the Colour outfit sparked confusion today after a divide emerged over whether it is blue or green.

The Princess of Wales arrived at Buckingham Palace this morning in a car alongside Prince William, Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis.

Immediately, outlets such as the Sun and the Express reported that the dress was green.

However, GB News can confirm that the Princess of Wales wore the “Bria” coat dress from Catherine Walker in the shade “aquamarine”, a shade of blue.

Royal fans were baffled after outlets mistakenly called the dress green and took to social media to air their confusion.

One wrote: “That’s not green. Turquoise, teal or aqua even. Not green.”

Another added: “Catherine Walker coat dress in ‘deep aquamarine’ is how the designer describes it.”

A third commented: “I don’t think that is green, looks more turquoise, but I guess we will know for sure later on!”

One royal watcher simply wrote: “Green???”

Another different social media account hilariously corrected the false reports with the sole word: “Blue.”

Finally, someone posted: “I’d say it is aquamarine.”

Kate, 43, paired the dress with a blue hat designed by Juliette Botterill.

In addition, the Princess of Wales accessorised with the Irish Guards Regimental Brooch and earrings that belonged to Queen Elizabeth II.

Princess Charlotte, 10, wore a matching blue and white outfit to complement her mother.

In addition, the young royal donned a horseshoe brooch that previously belonged to the Queen Mother.

Queen Elizabeth II later gifted the heirloom to Charlotte, who wore it at Her Late Majesty’s funeral in 2022.
