David Beckham Finally Speaks Out After Being Snubbed for a Knighthood Yet Again and Facing Explosive New Claims from Rebecca Loos!

David Beckham has looked back on an eventful year which saw a Netflix documentary come out about his life and his wealth grow, but ended with a few negative stories.

David Beckham has reflected on an “unforgettable” year in a social media post which focuses on his family after missing out on a knighthood.

Beckham was once again not included in the end-of-year honours list, which was headlined by a knighthood for former England manager Gareth Southgate. It comes more than seven years after shocking emails were leaked in 2017 which showed Beckham branding the honours committee “unappreciative c***s” while claiming he “didn’t care about being knighted”.

The 49-year-old former England captain, who does have an OBE to his name, has claimed some of the leaked emails had been doctored. Nevertheless, the scandal appears to have harmed his chances of becoming a Sir.

Unsurprisingly, there was no mention of his disappointment in an Instagram post he published to look back on 2024. It included pictures of Beckham with his wife Victoria and their children Brooklyn, Romeo, Cruz and Harper, as well as a touching final picture of him chatting to his former England manager, Sven Goran Eriksson, who passed away in 2024 from cancer.

As the caption, he wrote: “Happy New Year from myself, my wife and my amazing kids… Thank you for [an] unforgettable year and I want to wish everyone a happy and healthy 2025. Love David x.”

Much of Beckham’s professional focus is now in Florida, where he spends his time as co-owner of Inter Miami. His side, which now includes Lionel Messi, won the Supporters’ Shield, as the MLS club with the best regular season record, in 2024 – and there was plenty else to celebrate for Beckham.

A Netflix documentary about his life came out and helped his firm, DRJB Holdings Limited, report a pre-tax profit of £28.75million in their latest filings, up from £12.87m the previous year. Revenue was up by two per cent year-on-year to £72.44m, while Studio 99 Group, which made the documentary, saw revenue grow to £11.95m.

All of that means that Beckham is unlikely to be bothered by Rebecca Loos continuing to speak about their alleged affair in the media. His former personal assistant claimed to have had a four-month affair with Beckham back in 2004 – something he has denied.

Loos has now been on the Anything Goes podcast with James English, where she explained that she went public with the story as a “f*** you” message, over what she believes was poor treatment.

Asked why she sold her story to the News of the World, Loos said: “I was hurt. Me going public was a ‘f*** you mate’ for treating me like that. Big time. It was. I don’t care how powerful you are, how much money you have. It’s not okay.”

She added: “The funny thing is, I got the s***, Victoria got the s***, David f****** never got any s***. That’s the world we live in.”
