Prince Harry’s Cry for Help to William While Struggling in the USA

Prince Harry found himself in a state of terror during a critical summit regarding his and Meghan Markle’s decision to step down as working members of the royal family. Despite Harry’s claims in the bombshell Netflix series with Meghan that Prince William screamed at him, there was no mention of such an incident in his subsequent memoir.  The meeting, which occurred four years ago and was convened by the late Queen Elizabeth II, aimed to discuss the terms of Harry and Meghan’s departure. In the Netflix series from December 2022, Harry asserted that William screamed and shouted at him during the meeting, accusing his father, King Charles, of uttering untruths. Harry disclosed feeling terrified as his brother screamed and shouted, his father made false statements, and his grandmother, the late Queen, silently absorbed it all.

In the same show, Harry refuted claims that he blindsided his late grandmother with his statement about leaving The Firm. He alleged that he had discussed proposals to move to New Zealand, South Africa, and Canada for months before announcing their plans. According to Harry, a leaked letter to his father about the move to Canada made him aware that the institution had leaked their plans. Despite these revelations in the Netflix series, Harry’s subsequent memoir, “Spare,” does not mention William screaming and shouting or Harry being terrified. Instead, Harry notes that his brother complained about a story in the morning papers suggesting he was the reason for their departure.

In another part of “Spare,” Harry recalls a conversation with William in the gardens of Sandringham. Contrary to the depiction in the Netflix series, there is no mention of screaming and shouting. Harry expected a lecture but found William subdued, willing to listen for the first time in a long while. This unexpected receptiveness left Harry feeling grateful.
