Camila Alves and her daughter, Vida McConaughey, whom she shares with her husband, Matthew McConaughey, were spotted in New York City recently. The mother and daughter duo stepped out to attend a Hermès Birkin event on June 6, 2024, in matching red outfits and were photographed holding hands.

Camila wore a leather two-piece ensemble featuring a sleeveless crop top and a long skirt. Vida, on the other hand, sported a mini skirt and a long-sleeved crop top.

Both were dressed in black shoes, with Camila opting for pumps and a matching clutch, while Vida chose flats. Their hair was styled in curls, cascading over their shoulders.

People posted an image of the pair on Instagram, sparking various comments. One user criticized Vida’s outfit, saying, “Outfit is inappropriate for a 14yr old.” Another found it hard to believe she was so young, commenting, “14? Hollyweird is like 24. Vida doesn’t only join her mom at high-profile events; she has also ventured into acting. In 2021, Matthew revealed during an appearance on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” that Vida had a minor role in the animated film “Sing 2.”

“She plays a piglet who is scuba-diving in chocolate, saying ‘This is the best day of my life,'” the Academy Award-winning actor proudly shared during the interview.

According to Matthew, Vida is a creative child who enjoys drawing, painting, and reading graphic novels. Her siblings, Levi and Livingston, also have creative interests. In a 2020 interview, the doting parent mentioned their hobbies, including photography.

“They’re into it — all three [of the kids]. They’re becoming a production crew. It’s very cool, [and] they’re starting to get kind of good at it,” Matthew said.

Their interests vary, with the youngest sibling, Livingston, being more of a storyteller, while the oldest, Levi, is more into music. As Matthew watches his children explore their talents, he cherishes the “privilege and responsibility” of being their father.

“The only thing I ever knew I wanted to be was a father,” the dad of three expressed. “And it’s remained the pinnacle for me. Being a dad was always my only dream. … I can’t think of anything being more important.”
