Police have launched a manhunt after a 16-year-old girl flagged down officers and said she had been raped in a popular London park. The distressed teenager is said to have got the attention of a Metropolitan Police patrol on Friday night (April 11) and she reported she had been attacked.
Met Police said she approached officers on Regents Park Road at 10.50pm on Friday April 11. She said had been raped in Primrose Hill. She was then rushed to hospital in a London Air Ambulance and is now being supported by specialist officers. A crime scene was put in place in Primrose Hill. There have not yet been any arrests made but police enquires into the incident continue.
Met Police spokesperson: “Officers on patrol were flagged down by a 16-year-old girl in Regents Park Road at 22:50hrs on Friday, 11 April who reported that she had been raped in Primrose Hill.
“She was taken to hospital by the London Ambulance Service. She is being supported by specialist officers.
“A crime scene is in place in Primrose Hill. No arrests have been made. Enquiries continue.

A Met Police spokesperson told Express.co.uk today (Thursday) that “enquiries continue” into the incident.
Primrose Hill is a popular park for families and dog walkers and is named after the natural hill which makes up the area. It offers clear views of central London, as well as Hampstead and Belsize Park.

The park covers just over 62 acres, and the summit of Primrose Hill reaches a height of 210 feet above sea level.
Because of its views and historic location, Primrose Hill Park has been referenced many times in British literature and music, and the location has served as a backdrop for a number of Hollywood movies.
