ITV Emmerdale fans ‘nail bitingly frustrated’ after three deaths ‘confirmed’ in limo crash

Emmerdale has left a minimum of three lives hanging in the balance after Monday’s (17th February) episode showed the direct aftermath of the tragic limo crash.

On Friday (14th February), the ITV soap left fans with a cliff-hanger as both limo’s swerved off the road, leaving one slowly submerging into the frozen lake.

The Manchester Evening News isn’t going to reveal the names for those who are yet to watch the dramatic episode but fans have already been reacting following the early ITVX release.

Caleb’s fury towards Cain Dingle was the catalyst for one of the crashes as he was determined to get answers about his affair with Ruby. As the other passengers in the car tried to get Caleb to slow down and pay attention to the road, he could then be seen swerving off the road as a vehicle approached head-on.

In the girls’ limo, just as Liam proposed Charity let out a gasp as she spotted Noah wandering around lost and confused on the roadside. She veered out of his way but the limo nose-dived straight into the frozen lake, tossing everyone and everything around.

However, during the episode one character was seen being plunged through the ice where they will potentially meet a watery grave. Before that, a grim discovery is made in the lake which could be linked to a fan theory about a missing villager…

While that’s one life in significant peril, elsewhere there wasn’t much hope for the other residents of the Dales, with another villager suffering from terrible injuries and clinging on for dear life.

Previous spoilers released by Emmerdale already showed that at the end of this week there will be a vigil being held by grieving villagers.

Fans who watched the early ITVX release couldn’t wait to discuss their thoughts post-watch. On a Reddit thread, u/Equal-Competition930 declared: “It’s great especially the ending” to which u/Silver-Slice7914 asked: “whose body do you think she discovered?”

u/cucucumbra added: “Brilliant episode. It was the most nail bitingly frustrating thing I’ve watched since Rickon Stark wouldn’t zig zag!…I think I shouted. Brilliant episode. I thoroughly enjoyed being so invested!” u/editedmorph echoed: “My anxiety could not handle that one bit”.
