Anne, Princess Royal made confession about Kate and Prince William’s royal lives

The confession came in Anne: The Princess Royal at 70, a documentary that aired almost five years ago.

In the doc, Princess Anne expressed her compassion for younger royals in the family.

“The pressure that is applied to the younger members of the family, it’s always worse,” she said. “That’s what the media is interested in. That’s hard sometimes to deal with.”

“But there was no social media in my day, and it’s probably made it more difficult,” she added.

She then quipped: “I know what Twitter is, but I wouldn’t go anywhere near it if you paid me frankly. But that’s a slightly different issue.”

Princess Anne and King Charles’ emotional chat

More recently, it was reported that the Princess Royal and her brother, King Charles, shared an emotional chat recently.

The conversation came after Anne told the Press Association that retirement wasn’t an option for her.

“In private, he is simply overjoyed that she’ll be there with him until the end,” a source told Woman’s Day Magazine.

“The conversation they had about that was unusually emotional for Charles and he did break down in tears over her lifelong loyalty to him,” they then continued.

According to the insider, Anne had a characteristic response to her brother’s tears.

“Dry your tears, buck up and get on with the job!” she reportedly told the monarch!

The source then added that Anne was “more than a sister” to Charles. They went on to say that she’s someone he’s always been able to “lean on”.

The insider added that Charles “simply can’t rule” without Anne at his side.

Anne missed husband while on trip abroad

Princess Anne has often been dubbed the “hardest-working royal” within the monarchy.

Last month, Anne visited South Africa for a series of royal engagements.

During her trip abroad, she visited the South African Riding for the Disabled Association, the Desmond and Leah Tutu Legacy Foundation, and The Royal Cape Sailing Academy.

However, it was reported that Anne was missing her husband, Sir Timothy Laurence, who had been forced to miss the trip.

The retired Royal Navy officer was reportedly focusing on recovering from a suspected torn ligament at home.

“I’m in no doubt that Anne will be missing her husband by her side and wishing him a speedy recovery,” body language expert Darren Stanton said, speaking on behalf of Spin Genie.

“But the truth is her body language with Sir Timothy and without is virtually the same. Her husband is known to hang back and let her take the spotlight, and she has a natural confidence whether she’s by his side or on her own,” he added.
