Volodymyr Zelensky doubles down and REFUSES to apologise to Donald Trump after furious bust up in White House

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has stood steadfast in his position as he has refused to apologise to Donald Trump since their Oval Office bust up yesterday.

Instead, he demanded that Trump be “more on our side” following a fury-fuelled row in the White House with the US President and his Vice President JD Vance.

In his first major interview since the press conference, Zelensky dodged the question of whether Donald Trump was owed an apology.

Speaking to Fox News, he said: “I’m not sure we did something bad.”

Zelensky declared that he must have Trump “on the same side” and put a stop to the Kremlin when he was asked whether he was happy with the US President to be “in the middle” of peace talks.

He said that “Trump said he will stop the war and I hope he will” and that, with Europe, the President must be pressured.

Yesterday, Trump and Zelensky’s Oval Office meeting descended into an extraordinary row over Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, as the American leader accused Zelensky of “gambling with World War 3”.

When the pair met in Washington to negotiate a possible peace deal between Russia and Ukraine, the two leaders locked horns as Trump warned the Ukrainian leader that he “isn’t in a good position right now”.

He further insisted that Zelensky was “gambling with World War Three” as the Ukrainian leader remains wedded to his principles and searches for a peace deal for his nation which would not yield any of his country’s sovereignty.

Meanwhile, Vance questioned the leader, asking: “Have you said thank you once this entire meeting? In this entire meeting, have you said thank you?”

Trump said: “You have to be thankful, you don’t have the cards. You’re buried there, your people are dying.”

Zelensky hit back: “I’m not playing cards. I’m very serious, Mr President. I’m the President in a war.”
